Colours representing Australia's Indigenous Communities

Support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation with your purchase of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander coloured bows

Today's purchase could be supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation

We're sending 20% back to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation* when you purchase Green, Royal Blue, Black, and White bows, or Yellow, Red, and Black bows through the links below.

Our fundraising support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation means we're sending contributions that help them to provide books and literacy programs to remote communities where they are needed most.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Ponytails and Fairytales acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We acknowledge the Whadjuk people, on whose land we operate our business. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Our range of Black, Red, and Yellow, as well as Green, Black, Royal Blue, and White coloured bows, clips, and hair ties is extensive, and also available for wholesale purchasing.

Support for the range:

"People like you is why Aboriginal people get heard and seen. Sometimes we are left in the shadows. But things like this make us proud to be Aboriginal... Just by wearing the colours make us proud of our culture an who we are as human beings!".

Stats from the Indigenous Literacy Foundation:

400 remote communities reached | 500,000 books supplied | 90 books published

Appreciation for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation:

“We love that your organisation is opening doors for children and adults alike to learn and grow together. The future is brighter and richer for our children as they are gaining a wealth of knowledge even before they reach the school system.

Families and their children are gaining confidence in written and verbal English and also their artistic skills are growing as they now ‘paint us a story like the new books’. Thank you so much for providing such valuable resources for our remote families.”

Sarah Gold, Early Childhood Educator, Katherine
